それって病気かも？毛がぬける猫の病気
猫は、１年中毛が抜けます。
特にこの時期は、換毛期でいつもより抜け毛が多かったりします。
でもいつもより抜け毛が多かったり、痒がっていたりしたら、病院の可能性もあります。
その場合は、病院で診察してくださいね。
抜け毛については、前回のブログに書いてあります。

毛が抜ける病気
いつもより抜け毛が多かったり、部分的に抜けたり、
痒がっている場合は病気の場合も
いつもと違っていたら病院で診察してくださいね。
ノミ、ダニなど
ノミやダニに刺されたかゆみと、ノミの唾液やノミ自体へのアレルギー反応によるかゆみで、おもに背中や腰、しっぽが脱毛します。
アレルギー性皮膚炎の可能性があります。
- 顔や耳のふちの毛が抜けるなら疥癬（ヒゼンダニ症）
- 首から背中、しっぽのまわりが抜けていればノミやダニ
複数飼いの場合は、ほかの猫にもうつりやすいので注意して。
皮膚炎
皮膚炎にもいろいろな原因があります。

食物性アレルギー
- シャンプーや首輪など普段使っているものが合わない接触性の皮膚炎
- アトピー性の皮膚炎
食物性アレルギーの場合は、額や目の上、耳の付け根の毛が抜ける傾向があります。
同時に下痢や嘔吐が見られるケースもあります。
ウイルスや免疫の疾患
ウィルスや免疫疾患が問題の場合もあります。
ホルモンバランス
副腎皮質機能亢進症は副腎皮質ホルモンが余分に分泌されてしまう事で起こる病気です。
病気
腎臓病、糖尿病でも猫の毛が抜けることがあります。
その他
他には、ビタミンBやビタミンAが不足する事で発生する脱毛もあります。
もしかしてストレス？
猫はストレスを感じると、グルーミングにより自身を落ち着かせようとします。
これが過剰になり、同じ部分を舐め続けてしまうと、皮膚の炎症や脱毛の原因になります。
人間はストレスで毛が抜けることがありますが、猫も同様にストレスが原因で脱毛する場合があります。
猫がストレスを感じるポイントはいろいろとあります。
このことについては、また後日書きます。
しかし、いつまでもストレスの原因が取り除かれないと、グルーミングが過剰になってしまうことがあります。
このときのグルーミングはなめるというより引きちぎるといった感じ。
毛が切れたり、ざらざらした舌で皮膚を傷つけたりすることで脱毛状態になってしまうのです。
皮膚が傷ついているなら治療が必要ですが、まずは猫のストレスの原因を見つけ、対処することが重要です。
毛球症（ヘアボール）に注意！
長毛種の猫がかかりやすい病気に、「毛球症（ヘアボール）」があります。
猫はグルーミングなどによって、飲み込んだ毛を吐き出す習性があります。
その際、大量に毛を飲み込んでしまうと、
吐きだし切れなかった毛がおなかに溜まり（ヘアボール）、内臓が荒れる原因になります。
換毛期の長毛種は毛球症（ヘアボール）にかかりやすいため、注意が必要です。
毛球（ヘアボール）のおうちでできるケア
毛球（ヘアボール）が軽度と思われる場合は、おうちでできるケアで症状を改善させることも可能です。
- 猫草を食べさせる
- 毛球除去剤を使う
- 食物繊維を豊富に含むフードに替える など
自分の猫に合った方法を試してみましょう。
